Perth goes Chogm crazy!

Perth is hosting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting this weekend. All of the heads of government from the Commonwealth nations are here and so is the Queen. I must admit to being a bit of a Royalist, I love all the pomp and ceremony.

Over 1oo,ooo people attended a barbecue on the banks of the Swan River to say their goodbyes to Her Majesty on her last day in Australia. Doesn't she look happy?It was a stunning day weather wise. I toasted her visit with a long boozy lunch at the pub. Before that I popped into the shops to get some hairspray and walked out with two pairs of pants and a lovely skirt. How does that happen during a shopping ban?

Hmmm, I think it's called an addiction.

I start my new job on Monday, so I'll put down this blip to nervous excitement. Yes, that's what it was.
